·èÂí¸èÎèÐã College Art Collection

The ·èÂí¸èÎèÐã College Art Collection was established in the late 1990s and now comprises of over 600 original artworks, including award winning student works.  The Collection encompasses sculpture, paintings, drawings, prints, mixed media, multimedia, photography, textiles and decorative arts.  The Collection began with the foresight and generosity of Peter Walsh, executor of the Eldon Hogan Trust and the first acquisitions of artworks by the tonal impressionist artist Colin Colahan (OX1915).  After the Australian War Memorial in Canberra, ·èÂí¸èÎèÐã College holds the second largest collection of Colin Colahan’s work in Australia.  The ·èÂí¸èÎèÐã College Art Collection has continued to grow and diversify through the support of the Eldon Hogan Trust, the John Kerr Tutton Trust and other benefactors.

The importance of art in Jesuit education is well established.  The ·èÂí¸èÎèÐã College Art Collection is not only an invaluable resource for our students but also acknowledges the important contribution artists make to our cultural environment.
