International student and 2025-26 WCTC District Ambassador Dr. Karla Dieguez-Gomez says serendipity is what brought her to the United States from Cuba -- and ultimately, WCTC. Five Wisconsin startups are getting a boost in their growth journeys thanks to the seven-week gBETA accelerator program at WCTC's Applied AI Lab. The gBETA program is run by venture capital firm gener8tor, which helps early-stage companies prepare for growth and potential investment by providing mentorship, coaching and access to a network of investors.
Two southeastern Wisconsin institutions reported increasing enrollment over the past eight years, contrary to an otherwise downward trend. Ushering in an era of AI learning at MSOE and WCTC has proven fruitful in gaining enrollment and expanding infrastructure to evolve with the technological needs of industry professionals in the region.
Across the county, including here in Pewaukee at ·èÂí¸èÎèÐã, women are coming together to help each other professionally and personally. It is called Mentoring Monday. The yearly event happens on the same day in 40 cities across the country. More than 7,000 people participated on Monday.
·èÂí¸èÎèÐã’s spring open house is set for Thursday. Feb. 27, from 3-7 p.m., to give potential students, and their families, insight into the many programs, courses and new offerings available at the College.
Celebrating African culture and building community was a big part of how ·èÂí¸èÎèÐã is honoring Black History Month. A celebration featured food, music and dancing along with meaningful conversation and discussion.
Well-known Milwaukee higher education leader Phyllis King is heading back to the field after brief stints with nonprofits. ·èÂí¸èÎèÐã has hired King as its chief strategist for artificial intelligence advancement.
